Overview

Global Specialised Systems is proudly associated with Datlink Insulation, a nationwide specifier and supplier of select ceiling, under-floor, and wall insulation products. We exclusively distribute these products in Kwa-Zulu Natal that span all market sectors, from affordable housing to residential housing, commercial and retail applications, as well as churches and airports. Together it is our mission to play a direct role in energy conservation and sustainability.

Existing products such as ThermocousTex Fiber and Board insulation and new products such as InnoBlok® and insulated plasters are just some initiatives in showing our commitment towards promoting products that would help saving energy.

Applications and Benefits

Professionals chose to recommend Datlink Insulation products in applications such as over purlin, as the product has verified Green credentials. Another concern is noise and thermal comfort which ThermocousTex met. The product finish is a white foil faced finish that does not attract dust and has a good light reflectivity to reduce electricity bills. In schools with exposed trusses even as a retro fit the product provides comfort for the students in summer and winter, and the good acoustic properties enable them better concentration. The skimmed nail up ceilings provides thermal and acoustic properties to keep the building comfortable and can be painted with good quality acrylic PVA Paint.

Our products were even selected for the Gauteng project due to its finish, acoustic and thermal properties and receive a high social acceptable rating within the affordable housing sector. Our products make house 30% more energy and comes in at a cheaper rate.

Products

Insulated masonry and clay such as Stock Bricks, 140 blocks or maxi bricks. The products look the same as the standard bricks but have an insulating material added to them.

Romatherm: Polyester fiber, used as a lay on insulation for ceilings; available in thicknesses of 55mm, 75mm and 100mm.

A polyester based board, it can also be combined with Kenaf; densities vary from 50kg/m³ - 400kg/m³ Application include Over Purlin plain or foil faced, Brick Cavity Walls, Dry Walling or, as a painted, vinly suspended or skimmed ceiling.

A polyester based fiber densities vary 24kg/m³ - 100kg/m³ it is a soft-fiber product, plain or foil-faced used Over Purlin, on top of ceiling or in Cavity and dry Walls.

IsoBoard: Used for Domestic, Industrial, Retail Ceilings; as over purlin insulation, under floor insulation, cavity wall insulation & inverted roof insulation, where IsoBoard is laid on top of a concrete deck.
